National Hamburger Day

Today is National Hamburger Day!!! As it says it's HAMburger.  Treat your friends and family to a great pork burger.  TIP!! Make the patty slightly larger than the bun so as it cooks and yes, it does shrink a bit, it will be a perfect fit on the bun.  Remember not to press the burger with a spatula as the juices escape and the burger will be dry.  Add chopped onions, chopped olives and the new roasted tomato seasoning that is available in stores.  After grilling, add a slice of fresh tomato, avacado and fresh lettuce.  My favorite is to also add a grilled portobello on the bun along with the meat.  Have a great day grilling during this beautiful summer season.  By the way, there will be a gourmet burger and slider class at Orson Gygi in Salt Lake on Saturday, Aug 13 from noon - 1:30pm.  Email me to reserve a spot.
